FAQ: Why does a leaderboard show different steps?
Understand sync timing, race totals, and leaderboard updates.

Leaderboard totals can differ from your phone for a few normal reasons.
What you can do
- Leaderboards update after Lawa receives and processes your latest steps.
- Some races or tournaments count only steps from a specific time window.
- If your step source syncs late, the leaderboard may update after your phone total changes.
- Open Lawa before the event ends so recent activity has time to sync.
Tip
When reporting a mismatch, include the event name, your phone total, and the total shown in Lawa.
