What a public tournament is

A public tournament is an open competition that anyone in Lawa can join while it is available. Your synced steps count toward a shared leaderboard during the tournament period.

Where it appears

When a public tournament is active and you have not joined it yet, Lawa shows it on the home screen as a tournament banner or card. You do not need to hunt for a separate tournament menu.

How to join

• Open Lawa and go to the home screen where your races are shown.
• Look for the current tournament banner or card.
• Tap it to open the tournament details.
• Check the start time, end time, prizes, and participant count before joining.
• Join the tournament and keep opening Lawa so your steps can sync.

How the leaderboard works

Public tournaments can use league leaderboards. That means you can compare all participants, or focus on players in your own league so the competition feels fairer.

What to check before the end

• Make sure your step source is connected.
• Open Lawa before the tournament ends so recent steps have time to sync.
• Check your league filter if the leaderboard does not show the player list you expected.
